Worsley Town moved into top spot in the Manchester Saturday Morning Football League division 1 on Saturday after a hard fought 1-0 against North Manchester at the Macabbi.
Mike Eckersley’s first half goal was enough to secure the win on a boggy and difficult pitch and catapult the Dukes above Beechfield, after United’s surprise defeat against Parrswood. Beechfield still have the game in hand though, at the business end of the season.

Worsley Town kept the pressure on leaders Beechfield United with an emphatic 9-0 victory over Manton Wanderers.
A Mike Eckersley hat-trick, a Sean Smith brace and strikes from Paul McMahon, Alex Law, Adam Guy and Joe Wright, won the game handsomely for a rejuvenated Town side.

Worsley Town progressed to the quarter final of the Manchester Evening News Cup on Saturday after a 5-3 victory over Parkside AFC. A Sean Smith brace and Paul McMahon hat-trick secured the win for a depleted Town side.
Reeling from a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Beechfield, Worsley were keen to get back to winning ways and the Cup competition proved a welcome distraction from their previous league outing.

Worsley Town moved to the top of the Manchester Saturday Morning Football League division 1 this weekend after a 6-2 victory over AFC Parkside at the Macabbi Sports Centre.

The Manchester Saturday Morning Football League (MSMFL) has announced a re-vamp to the current league structure after its recent success has seen membership requests boom.
The league has now been split into 3 divisions after the following teams were accepted in: AFC Middleton, Cassidy’s FC, Greenside Rangers, Manchester Athletic. Medlock Rangers and Fielden Park have been re-instated and have been placed in divisions 2 and 3 respectively.

Worsley Town have been working hard in pre-season as the Dukes gear up for a tough season in Division 1 of the MSMFL, after last seasons record breaking points tally secured promotion as Champions.
The lads have faced some tough tests and met some old foes as we slog out 2 games a week to get to the optimum match sharpness.

A stylish performance from Worsley Town saw them defeat North End 6-0 at the Macabbi to end any hope of promotion for the visitors.
With the title already sewn up, the hosts played some excellent football and goals from Andy Hewitt (2), James Batty (3) and Alan Stockton ensured the victory.

Worsley Town dropped their first points of the season on Wednesday night as the Dukes drew 3-3 away at promotion chasing Aldwyn Town.
Goals by McMahon and an Eckersley brace sealed a point for the champions in a pulsating battle in Audenshaw.
